Leopold Legacy Forest

In September of 2007, Bruce D. Leopold bequeathed his tree farm totaling nearly 140 acres in Noxubee County to the Bulldog Forest. Leopold is currently Wildlife and Fisheries Department Head in the College of Forest Resources. Throughout much of his career, Leopold focused on predator-prey relationships, wildlife biometry and habitat quality assessment, computer applications, habitat management, population ecology and wildlife population monitoring. Future funds derived from the Bruce D. Leopold Legacy Forest will be used for chairs, professorships, equipment, scholarships, fellowships, faculty development and other general program enhancements within the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. This gift will help ensure that these interests will continue at the College of Forest Resources.
