College of Forest Resource Scholarship applications for currently enrolled students are due April 1 of each year. Freshmen and new transfer students should complete the Mississippi State University Scholarship Resume online through their Admission application on the MSU web page by December 1. Currently enrolled students must submit a CFR Scholarship Application (one form for all scholarships) to be considered for a departmental scholarship. Awarding and renewal of CFR scholarships are competitive. The application form is available on the current student web site under forms.

Bynum L. Meeks Endowed Scholarship
Established in memory of Bynum L. Meeks. Candidates must be full time juniors or seniors in the Forest Management Option within the Department of Forestry or one of the following options within the Department of Forest Products: Wood Industry Management or Wood Materials Science. Students must have completed the summer field session and be a resident from one of the following counties: Adams, Amite, Claiborne, Copiah, Franklin, Hinds, Jefferson, Lawrence, Lincoln, Madison, Pike, Walthall, Warren, and Wilkinson.
Columbia Forest Products Annual Scholarship
Funded by Columbia Forest Products of Trumann, Arkansas. This scholarship is awarded to Forest Products students with an interest in lumber, composite, or related areas with a GPA of 2.8 or higher. Summer internship is possible.
Davis and Ann Mortensen Endowed Scholarship in Forest Resources
Established in December of 1999 by a generous contribution from Mr. and Mrs. Davis K. Mortensen. Candidates must have a composite ACT score of 26, have records of academic achievement, and demonstrated leadership skills.
Forest Products Endowment Fund Scholarship
Supported by income from funds donated by friends and supporters of the Forest Products Laboratory; awarded to Forest Products students on the basis of academic record and merit.
Ham Sanders Scholarship
Sponsored by Mrs. Ham Sanders in honor of her husband. The award is based on need, character, and academic achievement or any combination of these. Preference is given to students studying Wood Science and Technology.
Mississippi Lumber Manufacturers' Association (MLMA) John L. Mabry Memorial Annual Scholarships
Mississippi Lumber Manufacturer's Association (MLMA) provides two scholarships in memory of John L. Mabry. These scholarships are awarded to one Forestry Management major and one Forest Products major with an emphasis on the forest products industry each year. Candidates must be full time students, have demonstrated academic achievement, be of good moral character, and have demonstrated leadership ability and financial need.
