Aquaculture Research and Outreach

Aquaculture is the production of aquatic organisms such as fish, crustaceans, shellfish, algae and plants to support sustainable food production, stocking for recreational fisheries, conservation of threatened species, maintenance of genetic diversity, or subsistence culture of protein sources in developing nations. Mississippi State is involved in all of these fields, and is a global leader in aquaculture research, extension, and education. See how you can get involved!
