Webinar shows how to capitalize on wildlife
The Mississippi State University Extension Service will offer an online webinar series from Feb. 16 through March 22 for landowners and those interested in wildlife and fisheries enterprises.
Six sessions will be held on consecutive Thursdays at 11:30 CST for registered participants in five states: Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama and South Carolina.
Experts will share information about different types of agritourism enterprises, how to manage land resources, and alternative business opportunities that can add economic value to existing properties. Natural resource enterprises include trail riding, fee hunting or angling, bed and breakfasts, and more.
To join the free broadcast, go to msues.adobeconnect.com/wildlife. Type in your name under the Guest option. Most first-time users will have to install a plug-in program for the online webinar to function properly. Participants should sign-in at least 15 minutes before the first session to set up the required programs.
The "Using Alternative Enterprises and Recreational Development to Bolster Farm Incomes" webinar series is sponsored by MSU, Natural Resource Enterprises, the University of Arkansas, the National Ag Law Center, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Southern Risk Management Educational Center. MSU is partnering with other land-grant universities to deliver the webinar series, including Auburn University, Clemson University, the University of Arkansas and the University of Tennessee.
