A recent contribution by the Mississippi Forestry Association is facilitating the establishment of the Ozier Endowed Scholarship.
The gift to the College of Forest Resources helps establish a scholarship in memory of Anne Ozier and in honor of Dr. Terry Ozier of Brandon. Longtime supporters of Mississippi State University, the Oziers are being honored for their commitment to forestry in Mississippi.
The Oziers, former Mississippi Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year, have been tree farming for over 30 years. The husband and wife partnership have been involved in every aspect of their tree farm, from planting to inventorying.
In 1991, the Oziers were recognized as the Nation’s Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year. Dr. Ozier, a veterinarian by trade, has often said that one of his greatest assets is that he has had a lot of personal, one-on-one education in forestry from the extension service, the forestry commission and the university.
